Privacy Policy
Short version: DiskLens collects nothing and talks to no one.
Last updated: 22 June 2026. This policy covers the DiskLens application for macOS, published by Vtun Hardware SRL ("we", "us").
The short version
DiskLens is a disk space analyzer that runs entirely on your Mac. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no trackers.
Data we collect
None. DiskLens does not gather personal information, usage statistics, crash reports, identifiers, or any other data about you or your device.
What DiskLens reads on your Mac
To do its job, DiskLens reads the names, sizes, types and modification dates of the files and folders in the locations you explicitly choose to scan. This information is processed in memory to build the visualizations you see and is never sent anywhere. It is not written to any server and is discarded when you close the app or start a new scan.
DiskLens runs in Apple's App Sandbox and can only access a folder after you grant permission to it through the standard macOS open panel. It remembers the folders you scan (as security-scoped bookmarks stored locally on your Mac) so you can re-open them quickly; this list lives only on your device and is never transmitted.
Network access
DiskLens has no network capability. The app makes no internet connections of any kind. (This website, disklens.vtun.ro, is separate — see below.)
This website
This website is static and serves only the pages and images you request. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Standard, anonymized web-server logs (such as IP address and requested URL) may be kept for security and to understand aggregate traffic, in line with our company privacy policy.
Children
DiskLens is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Because it collects no data at all, it collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Because DiskLens collects no data, any future change would only ever clarify or strengthen these commitments.
